NAND flash memory is a type of storage technology that does not require power to retain data. It has become a daily need for us as a human and it can be found easily in the market today. It can be found in a phone, thumb drive, camera, laptop etc.
Flash memory or named NAND flash memory saves data as blocks. These blocks rely on electric circuits to store data and it is highly sensitive while salvaging data from these blocks.
3. How eMMC NR software extract data from NAND flash memory and how it works differently?
Logical Extraction and Physical Extraction (Surface abstraction) are the easiest way in abstracting data, follow by Chip-off Extraction (Deep abstraction) and lastly eMMC-NAND Access (Deepest abstraction).
-Surface abstraction is done via cable connection while NAND flash memory still readable.
-Deep abstraction require to chip off and extracting images from the chip.
-Deepest abstraction require to chip off too, but it is abstracting Image from NAND memory.
So, eMMC NR software abstracting data through eMMC-NAND Access. This abstraction is extracting images from NAND memory or data blocks directly and it is much more efficient as compared to Chip-off recovery.
4. What is the strength of eMMC NR software?
eMMC NR software consists of Error Correction, Logical Image Reconstruction and Descrambling Image. Through research, proved that this software can salvage some data from damaged chips, factory reset and erased data recovery.
